No saying I want him, but he is considered one of the better LB's in this FA market.....I haven't even heard a peep about him.
Has anyone heard anything about Kato lately?

I've been wondering the same thing about LaVar Arrington.

I think I read somewhere, Arrington was visiting with the Chiefs....
Good point. I think when Joey Porter hit the market he blew the rest down to second-tier as far as pay scale goes.
They will be signed in the second wave of moves this offseason. There is alot of work to do before they play football.
I thought at first, we would try to make an attempt to bring June in here. Espeicaly with the Frazier connection......
Maybe Frazier knows something about him that we fans don't? Something that would keep us away from him?
I know alot of people think he's over rated, but I've always thought he was a solid player, and he knows the Dungy 2 deffense.
Plus the fact he was a Pro Bowler, and I've never heard of him in trouble or anything negative as far as personality or dedication...
We will have to wait and see I guess.....Just suprises me, no mention of him at all lately...
1: Cato is probably demanding BIG money, especially after the superbowl.
2: Hes wayyyyyy to small to play any other position then ROLB in the Cover
If we didnt have E.J. and Greenway competeing for that spot i'd say give him a look.

I do not ask for much from you.
I don't want you to make me win the lottery or have it rain puppies, but I please do want one thing:
do not let the Minnesota Vikings sign Lavar Arrington.
In the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

Cato June, LB, Colts
Crickets and tumbleweeds on the Cato June front. Despite being a defensive leader for the Super Bowl champs, June is a converted college safety who checks in at 6-0, 227. He's a niche player with coverage and pursuit skills that is too small to stand up at the point of attack. And there's plenty of tape from 2006 showing evidence of that. With more teams going the 3-4 route and pursuing hulking LBs, the market's not there for June, who was supposed to visit the Giants but still hasn't.

I was actually wondering why we haven't looked at him or Nick Harper for that matter.
I know we are deep in DBs however Harper is pretty solid and we can use someone as trade bait.
As far as the money issue, it's not an issue.
We have enough to sign any of the FAs on the market right now.
I do know the Viking front office are not willing to break the bank to overpay a player this year.
As others have said they are trying to build a team.
That involves getting players such as the Pats did to play together for periods of time and gell with each other.
Gelling is what team chemistry is all about.
Without that you get a bunch of highly paid individuals that will win you 8 games a year.
