Josh McDaniels meeting with Vikings on Friday
Just tweeted by Judd Zulgad.

@JuddZulgad Josh McDaniels is expected to meet with Vikings about offensive coordinator's job on Friday.
@JuddZulgad McDaniels, who was fired by the Broncos this season, could be key in helping to develop a young quarterback in Minnesota.
Edit: Ed Werder from ESPN is now reporting the same thing.

McDaniels also passed up on an opportunity to interview for the 49ers Head Coaching job today.
Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Re: Josh McDaniels meeting with Vikings on Monday
This could be fantastic for us.
I would have to bet bringing in someone like McDaniels would mean he gets say over first draft pick, because he is going to want to groom a QB (unless he can trade for Tebow
)
I definitely would love to see McDaniels come into our mix. A very good offensive mind. Creative and thinks outside the box.

Re: Josh McDaniels meeting with Vikings on Monday
the best thing about this news is it means bevell is going to be shown the door. I wonder though, is this fraziers decision or did it come from above.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Re: Josh McDaniels meeting with Vikings on Monday
It appears to say Friday everywhere... not sure where the title of this thread came from, lol.
I'd like this hire. McDaniels has been around an incredible head coach, an amazing QB, and the best offense of all time. Hopefully he can share any of the insight from that experience with this team.

Re: Josh McDaniels meeting with Vikings on Monday
Good move IMO. Also, if McDaniels truly did forego a chance to interview for a HC job in SF, it's seemingly an indication that he knows he could learn a thing or two. This might be a very good match.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

Re: Josh McDaniels meeting with Vikings on Monday
I've gained some respect for Frazier in the last few days. I was getting pretty discouraged in his management skills when we were hearing rumblings of Bevell being retained as offensive coordinator without looking at other options. Now if Frazier could somehow retain Bevell as Quarterbacks coach, hire McDaniels as OC, pick up a stud o-line coach and go from there, I would be very impressed. Overall I think that the TOA has a plan for this staff and are looking to eliminate all the weak spots. This is hugely important considering that Frazier is a defensive coach and whoever is named offensive coordinator will likely have almost full control of the offense.
