Jordan Gross
What are you thoughts on him. I have yet to see him mentioned and we get complaints about our OL.
To MODs, if this isn't the kind of thread that you guys want in here, please lock.
To go along with gross i thin we should mke these moves...
Qb - Sign - Quinn Gray - Cut - Brooks
Rb - Sign Duckett -
Wr - sign Byrant - Draft a Rookie - Cut Fergerson
Te - Sign LJ or Eric Johnson.
Dl - Sign Justin Smith, Allen or Suggs.
LB - Sign Dansby - Release Leber DB
DB
- Sign Doss, Sign Hamlin. Release Smith
Red Denotes players that will be expensive to get or players not offset with the money gain from releasing their counter parts.
I expect most of the other players to be available cheap.
With 20 million in the cap we can do all of this but may miss out on Gross since the average rate for OL is 7 million a year.

Re: Jordan Gross
Release Leber? :
I think we should release EJ and Chad too, neither of them are big name FA's.

Re: Jordan Gross
Qb - Sign - Quinn Gray - Cut - Brooks
Brooks is a better QB, younger, and longer in the systen than Holcomb. Keep Brooks of the two
Rb - Sign Duckett -
Peterson, Taylor, Richardson, Tahi, Dugan. I think its pretty good even without MeMo.
Wr - sign Byrant - Draft a Rookie - Cut Fergerson
FERGUSON? we need an upgrade, but Ferguson is the closest thing to a solid veteran on the roster. He was really starting to contribute. If anybody gets cut, it should be Williamson. besides the fact I think Ferguson is a free agent so cutting would be unnecessary
Te - Sign LJ or Eric Johnson.
The only thing i want to see is a good, mid-round draft pick. Kliensasser is a good blocker, Shank deserves another year, and I want to see what Mills can do.
Dl - Sign Justin Smith, Allen or Suggs.
Help is needed, desperately here. Allen will not likely be available. I think if anything, the vikes will stay pat, but this is a possible scenario.
LB - Sign Dansby - Release Leber DB
That doesn't really say release Ben Leber does it???? That is crazy talk.
DB
- Sign Doss, Sign Hamlin. Release Smith
Not likely. My guess is that the first or second round pick will be a safety, or a CB and move somebody to safety. I doubt a high profile FA saftey is coming on board. I wouldn't be too surprised to see either Doss or Tank resigned if they will sign a reasonable deal. Also agree Smith is very likely gone.
VikesFan787, Thanks for the awesome sig!

Re: Jordan Gross
The changes of Allen, Suggs, Dansby or Hamlin making it to the open market are virtually nil, they will all get franchised or re-signed. Gross will probably be handled the same way. And anyway, why replace Leber or Ferguson? Leber is a very good linebacker, and Ferguson is a solid veteran that we desperately need. I agree with tgorsegner, cut Holcomb and Williamson not Bollinger and Ferguson

Re: Jordan Gross
I like Leber but I thin Dansby would be an upgrade to our LB core. He's so good he got Dontarrious Drafted.
Would you rather gut Greenway? Imagine, greenway, Dansby and EJ...That's an old school LB luva like mines wet dream.
As far as keeping fergerson or Williamson.
1 is at his peek the other hasn't reached it yet.
Is Fergerson that much better than Williamson?
Or trade leber and our 5th to move up and grab another teams 4th.
Just thoughts.

That has to be the worst trade I've ever heard. I wouldn't trade Leber for anything short of a high 3rd round pick. He is a huge part of our defense.Or trade leber and our 5th to move up and grab another teams 4th.
