Johnson sees role as far from a sure thing

Safety Johnson sees role as far from a sure thing

Signs point to him being the first-team Vikings safety, but the second-year defensive back said he won't stop competing, or learning.

Tyrell Johnson has heard more than once this spring that the Vikings' starting strong safety position is his. He elects to look at things in a different manner.

Not a bad read my friend.
Thanks.

In a way, I am kindof glad now that M-will had issues.
Those reps will be huge this year with respect to the development of STJ.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

STJ is gonna be playing safety for us for a long time, it's nice to hear his thoughts on competition, and being the best he can be to raise the level of play on the whole defense.

I had a chance to talk to wide receiver Jaymar Johnson at the Vikings playground build on Friday. The second-year player talked about his weight gain, Brad Childress’ praise for his performance this offseason, his goals for this season and what it was like spending a year on the practice squad....
