Sullivan started the first 10 games of the 2007 campaign before his right knee injury sidelined him for the final two contests. After the offense generated 5,728 yards during his sophomore year, it fell off to a total of 2,907 yards during his senior season. Poor quarterbacking was a big culprit to Notre Dame's troubles, but the offensive line allowed 58 sacks, seven more than they gave up in the previous two seasons combined.

Re: John Sullivan
Good pick can't have enough good Olineman. Was a top rated Center, we will have good competition at center this year.

Re: John Sullivan
I like the pick and this should (maybe) make Singer Happy.
The book has him as a 4th round pick.
Says he is a smart center who has a thick lower body and fits in the ZB scheme in support of the run but will struggle in pass protection.
Also say that his ability to pull isn't one of his strengths (I don't think that is a issue in this scheme cause we pull our G and T more than our C).
One of his strenghts I like is that he is smart and communicates well to the OL with respect to Stunt and Blitz adjustments.
Says he has all the tools to be a starter at the next level but will need a couple of years to get ready.
My take is the guy needs to add a few pounds but should be a good option at C.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: John Sullivan
F'N Sweet!!
It just keeps getting better!
I had this guy tagged for a future replacement months ago.
I suddenly feel much better about where Birk plays next year (09)...as long as he's given us his all this year.
Its all about getting Sullivan's knee healed right.
I'm guessing it effected his play that last year.
Played in a prostyle offense against pretty tough competition.
Got to love this stuff:
Tenacious blocker who works to finish, showing good urgency to get in front on pulls and traps...When he plays flat-footed (must do this with better consistency), he is able to anchor vs. the bull rush, but does have balance issues due to his waist-bending when playing in space...Not a classic technical blocker, but it is rare to see him take plays off...Very capable of making all the line calls and blocking adjustments and has a good feel for the flow of the game...Will easily handle a complicated playbook at the next level due to his intelligence..Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: John Sullivan
I hate this pick!
How could we pass on Erin Henderson, AGAIN!?
Before the draft, I thought he would at least get drafted in the third round. Right now, we're half-way through the 6th LOL!
C'mon! I believe Erin is in top 5 at linebacker in this draft and so do many experts. Maybe E.J. has personally said he doesn't want his little brother on the team just to pisss his brother of ...
