John David Booty wants on Vikes?

John David Booty immediately mentions the Vikings as a team he would be interested in!

The analysts then went on to talk about how he would be a good back up if the T-Jack project doesn't work out....

I had been against drafting a QB, until just now... It makes me think.

yeah theres been a good amount of talk bout him on here, i think it would be a solid pick with one of our 3rd rounders

I would think that a lot of QB candidates would like to go to the Vikings.
Not only would they get to work with an amazing running game, but the Vikings are one of only a handful of teams whose starter in 2009 is not etched in stone.
And the other teams that are in the same boat (Miami, Bears, etc) have a lot less talent than we do...

I called into the satellite talk show today and discussed what they thought the Vikes will do at 17.

They believed the Vikes want to go with a OT at 17 but they believe the top 5 OT will be gone leaving the best value at Brohm.

Not sure I agree with them but it was a good discussion.

By the way, they chopped me off before I could as another question about Merling and his hernia.

Earlier today on Sirius NFL Blitz they were speculating the Vikes grabbing Brohm at 17 as a great Childress KAO QB and later on Movin' the Chains Kirwan has the Bears picking Brohm in the first round. I could see Booty going to the Vikes as Ryan, Brohm, Henne and Flacco fill needs for other teams elsewhere.
