Joey Harrington?
Has anyone heard if we are serious about Joey Harrington?
If he is released and not traded, I think it would be a great
pick-up. He is young, talented, and should excell in the
West Coast Offense.

Re: Joey Harrington?
well i hope we arent serious about getting him. he just doesnt seem to have what it takes. plus we signed Mike McMahon and have Brad so id like to atleast see us draft a Quarterback in the second round to groom in the long term. Anyway, id be fine with Harrington if we didnt have McMahon already.

Welcome friend!
Scottie Graham...another Buckeye!
Yeah, the Joey thing has been really hammered out here. Personally I do not think we are looking at him since we inked McMahon.
Here are some threads about it:

Re: Joey Harrington?
I'd rather not get harrington, who is inconsistent, already has had nine second-chances in detriot, plus I don't think we're looking at any more FA QBs with the McMahon signing.
I may be an a$$, but at least I m a smart one

Re: Joey Harrington?
I just thought for the right price... Joey is still young and must have some
talent... He was drafted number 3 overall. Thinking maybe a cheep
project. This way we can use our draft picks on defense and more on
the O-line.

Re: Joey Harrington?
Well yeah Harrington probably does need a change of senery and it could be really good for him, just that to me there is more potential in the second round of the draft for QB than there is for Harrington.( and i would love to see us get Omar Jacobs  )

Re: Joey Harrington?
why would we want to pick up joey if we just signed Mike McMahon?
Yes its true, joey is still young, and could have some talent, and wasnt protected at all, and didnt have much talent surrounding him, i still think that it would be too much of a risk, and would not me smart finacially.
I would much rather draft a Quarterback.
But honestly, i just dont like joey.
i live in michigan, and the rest of the state is with me.

Chiefs | Team remains interested in Harrington
Mon, 27 Mar 2006 06:37:11 -0800
Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson said the Chiefs remain interested in Detroit Lions QB Joey Harrington. Peterson and Lions' team president Matt Millen are expected to talk about Harrington at the NFL owner's meetings this week. The Chiefs appear interested enough that they would give the Lions a choice in the first three rounds of next month's draft if they can work out details of a new contract with Harrington and his agent.
