Looks like a good player. He could be a sleeper.

Over to something else; I don't remember that we had two picks in the 6th round. Did we trade up to get him? And if that's the case, what did we trade away?

This was the Troy Williamson pick, so he is actually the guy we traded for Troy Williamson

Seems like a very good trade. No way this guy ends up worse than Troy. He may even end up being much better from what I saw in GG's videos and in his combine performance video.

    http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/round?round=6&draftyear=2008
27(193) Minnesota (From Jacksonville) Jaymar Johnson WR JACKSON STATE
He is a big-play threat both as a receiver and a punt-retuner, but he's also undersized and lacks ideal upper-body strength. He is going to have problems beating press coverage and he will get muscled out of some routes.

I don't think he's anything more than our future KR, so his size doesn't bother me. If he can get on the field as a WR and make some plays, that'd be gravy.

    Re: Jaymar Johnson

this is one of my favorit picks for the Vikes in the draft.
    Here's why.
Not becasue he's the best player but becasue he reminds me a lot of Wes Welcker.
He has awesome speed as we all know but this guy has a great pair of hands which is exactly what is needed for a third down move the chains kind of guy.
Also, he has great potential for YAC which fits right in with teh WCO.

His talent may be a big key in STs as it can help get good field position.
I know he's small but that hasn't stopped Devin Hester.
I like that he was a 6th round pick.
    I think it's good value.

    Re: Jaymar Johnson

I admit that he is better than Troy w/o even playing a down in the NFL, but there were a lot of players that were better than him on the board.
    Namely EJ's brother, Erin Henderson.
Rock out with your cock out!!!
