    Jason Brown (Center)

    http://www.nfl.com/players/jasonbrow...e?id=BRO502739

Not untill just a little while ago did I dig into researching Jason Brown a possible soon to be Free Agent from the Baltamore Ravens. He's considered by everyone to be the top rated Center in this years Free Agency. Earlier today there was a article to a supposed insider(Caplan or somethig like that) who had Jason Brown listed as our #1 priority in Free Agency. Now that I've done some more back ground I understand. He's only 25! He's coming off his rookie contract and played several games, he's got a good background of experience, played great at Gaurd for a year or two then moved to Center and played just as well this past season if not better.

I went to the Ravens message board and every fan is raving to get him signed, alot of them believe he is the #1 priority. A couple fans from other boards were over there asking about him and the Raven fans got quite defensive. Alot of them felt he was jiped out of the Pro Bowl like we though EJ was year before last and they definitly don't want to loose him. So obviously he's been a dominant force at 6'3" 320 pounds. With the Ravens curent situation I can see him possibly hitting the market which could be a very good thing for us. Getting a new commander of the Oline is top priority IMO. No better way to do then with a young experienced Jason Brown, his added versatility is just a bonus. I've did more research on his character and whatnot, things seem to be checking out extremly well, great work ethic, loves Jesus, charasmatic, I think he would be a fine fit. I think he would also add to our already good running game, a man his size can really deal with the bigger DT's that we face.

Can he make the transition between man blocking and zone blocking from play to play?

I sure would hope so, he was a Beast in Baltamore, It's not like we are going to ask him to play Tackle. Zone blocking, man blocking, you gotta be able to do it all if you want to be great.

I had him listed pretty high as well, however, someone posted a link in one of my offseason threads that showed he was close to signing with the Ravens.

Only thing I could find that is even close to anything like that.

I would love to have him but I think the Ravens will keep him.

I know what your saying, but that link there is from last year when he was tendered a deal, someone could have got him for a second rounder but nobody opted to sign him.

I aslo read on the Ravens Message board that they were close to signing him but this was during the playoffs and nothing has been said since then.

I think there is a possiblity they are getting close with them, but I think it would be wise for him to test the market if he's looking for Value. The Ravens could also Franchise Tag him if they felt necasarry, but they also have other key players they may tag.

So far he's not signed nor is he tagged, all indications lead to him being available untill further news. I think he's a very good player, probably one of the few blew chippers on the market, it would be a mistake for the Ravens to let him slip through.

Yup thats the one I read on the Message Board. Still hasn't happened though. If he's really intristed in returning to the Ravens he might do that, but if he's about Value he would wait and get paid big time in a expensive market. I'm confident he knows that and will either be tagged or test the market.
