Thread: James,Scott, or Udeze ?

Which two should the team start at DE ??James and Udeze were 1st round picks, but Scott seems to be the better of the three. I'd like to see a starting line with Udeze and James at DE's, or do the Vikes bring in another FA??

I like James and Udeze...heck I like all three. Lets hope they can stay healthy next season. I would prefer to see fa's at LB position.

D linemen rotate in and out a lot in games. Having three high caliber DE's is great...keeps good people on the field all the time.

James and Udeze. James really showed towards the end of the season that he could be a playmaker. He should to good next season. If not we have a very solid D end in Darrion Scott.

James and Udeze no doubt, both guys are pass rusher, and Udeze is also stout vs the run. It will be nice to get him back on the field, he needs to develop more pass rushing moves instead of trying to bull rush OL like he did in college.

Scott had a great year, he was good draft pic up, he's got good size, we could use him in pass rushing situations as a DT, thats also why we got spencer johnson, i love the depth at DL, tice did a great job building that beast now lets unleash it.

james did well this year. i was impressed.

We are good at DE and also at DT...I would use Scott and Udeze on running downs and then switch up on passing downs with James and Johnstone (still a stud pass rusher) and slide Scott into KWill's spot and KWill into PWill's slot for a quicker, more agile pass rush combo. We could probably do a similar-type rotation with our LBs for a more athletic overall pass rush. The defense has so much potential...now all it needs is for the new DC to fine tune it and put the pedal to the metal!!!

I would say Udeze and Rasmus..

Rasmus showed me alot for a rookie.. He should be pretty decent next year..

Udeze is a lock.. No way should he not start.. Great pass rusher.. Good against the run..

Scott needs to be rotated in there alot though.. He isn't a talent I would want on the sidelines.. He is a bigger guy he can play some DT too.. He is a good run stopper so maybe he should start and Rasmus comes in frequently and on pass rushing downs..

I want to resign Johnstone.. But if we don't we have lots of young talent

Only thing is we won't sit Udeze, no way 16.5 sacks junior season we drafted him to put pressure on the QB. Besides his solid Rookie season we still have a lot to see of Udeze, i think he's gonna be an animal. He played everydown his rookie season, he wore hiself out and the shoulder thing was bugging him. Now that his body is plenty rested and fixed we're gonna unleash him.

You could be right though cajun, if we keep Johnstone he's gonna spell some of the other DE's on pass rushing situations.

I think having Udeze and James on the ends is probably the best way to go, with Johnstone and Scott able to spell ... I also like Johnson as the Williams' back up ... the line should be a strong point for us.
