What convinces you he has a better chance of being around than Jackson?

Most important, Jackson should be better this year, maybe much better. There is no reason to question his work ethic, arm strength or athletic ability. There is reason to believe he'll make dramatic improvement after spending an offseason dissecting last year's mistakes.
And yet we still see posters talk about how TJ needs a fire lit under his jiggly butt, or now there are other QB's that will push him.

As I've said before, I don't think this kid needs anybody to light a fire under his jiggly butt to make him work harder at his craft than he has since he was drafted.
    I know!
Just think of all the game tape he's watched!
I wish the NFL would get off its jiggly butt and start making game tape available on its website.
Its getting there but would love to see actual coaches tape (Endzone/Top View) vice all the TV footage.
And the tapes of the defensive signals? ;D
The NFL only has the ones that Belichick gave to Goodell...uh, I mean, those were destroyed...uh...

    Two unprovens?
8-4 seems fairly proven to me...for a second-year pro with a suspect WR corps last season.
Watch the jump that TJack makes in his third year (second year starting).
Yep, plenty of crow will be eaten by the end of this season.

TJ proven? Hes proven he wasnt ready to be an NFL QB. Of course hes a little better now, who wouldnt be after 3 years on a job? He has won games because of ann opportuistic D, and 2 of the best RBs in the NFL. Yeah he can complete the short 5 yrd pass. Wonder what his numbers are minus the yac.

Still don't understand the concept of a WCO do you?

BTW, he's only been on the job 2 years. This year will be his 3rd.

hmmm.. we might be looking BETTER compared to last year (Holcomb,Jackson,Bollinger)
    ... but not good.

    Frerotte is trash.
    Booty is unproven.
And our current starter, Jackson, is proven... proven crappy.
    :-X

He may have a winning record as a starter, but everybody knows that the passing game didn't win those game. Just look at Jackson's numbers!

Cajun you are a TJ homer ,besides a tiny penis
8), the 8-4 ratio doesn´t prove anything ,how many games did TJ win for us last season?
None? How many games did TJ lose for us last season?
    2 ? 3?

I don´t wanna tell TJ is a bust cause that´s not rigth ,but He is not the proven Qb you are seeling us, I d be more than happy if He doesn´t cost us games and complete that short-medium range routes to move the chains ,I think he can do it ,being more experienced this year and with a more solid WR corps.

In other words If the D and RB´s performs the way we all think ,ABOUT
175 pass yards per game and
15 Td -13 Int ,it would be fine for our playoffs chances.

He has & will continue to do that. I'm not about to hang the Denver loss on him after T-Wills two spot on passes that were dropped as quickly as many other players will.

One of the biggest problems I see here is too many people are expecting a high power passing attack, with a lot of long balls thrown, offense like we had in the days of Culpepper & Moss.

Get over it, it ain't going to happen. You will continue to see a dink & dunk offense, with the occasional long ball.

T-Jack has thrown for a lot of first downs. Just because many of them happen after a couple of 5-10 yard passes instead of a single 20-30 yard passe, I think people don't take notice of them.

I rarely agree with you Singer but that is a solid post.

As far as losing games for us, I think that will go away with another year of experience. Same goes for the coaching staff, because IMO the offensive playcalling was seriously broken in those games.
