Re: If you were Zygmunt Wilf...

I would spend huge amounts of money on a QB for a year wish for a right tackle in the draft and hopefully get some depth.

    1) ANYWAY YOU CAN MAKE MIKE SHANAHAN A VIKING! HC, OC whatever
(If cannot outcoach our opponents it does not matter who we have on our team) I propose that every season ticket holder write a letter to Wilf explaining this.

    2) Sign Jordan Gross
    3) Sign either: J Garcia, K Warner, or JP Losman - DO NOT TRADE FOR D ANDERSON, NOR TRADE ANY DRAFT PICKS.
    4) If not franchised sign Nnamdi Asomugha.

I'd be sneaking and talking to Shanhan just to gauge his interest.

I wouldn't be sold on Childress.
I want titles not a medicore team playing in a weak division.

With the money he is spending I would expect more.

No. I'm actually from Winnipeg, MB. My family loves the Vikings.
Came down for the dreadful Oct 12 game where the Fire Childress chants started so it gave my insight on how many feel in Minneosota. I have supported Childress with apprehension.
But the more I think of it, the more I realize thate there is No Exuse for the type of plays that are called. I like the run first approach and having a great defense. I like have a disciplined group. I don't want to go back to penalty driven team of Mike Tice but we have to have some imagination on offense.
Last night 3 and 1 and we run off the RT when Jackson could have plunged foward or Peterson up the middle. Drive stalled. NYG game - what happened with the field goal at the end and why did we go for it at end of 1st half - failing and giving the Giants 3 points.
Oct 12 Detroit game - offense was horrible mostly due to turnovers. Childress has an opportunity to tie going for 2 - instead he goes for one. On the post game show he says "I thought I would just take a point" This could work if you could score more 20 points a game but at the time the offense was anemic.
The list goes on and on.
    It can't be ignored.
Coaching is the most important position on the team.

I figure now that is why the playoff almost didn't sell out.
I figure half the season ticket holders are protesting the coach. I could be wrong.
I think a dangerous game is being played here.
Wilf can't alienate who pays the salary and moving the team is not an option.
I just don't think he gets how imporant coaching is. He should hire a consultant.

He is having enough trouble selling his games out even with the negative ones. If he only allowed the positive ones the only sound you would hear on the broadcast would be the chirping of crickets ;D

I understand Goodall tries to run the NFL like a dictatorship, but luckely indavidual teams can not do so with its fans.
Perhaps Wilf should look into why there are so many disgruntaled fans and make proper adjustments.
I for one do not see a future for the Vikings with Childress as a head coach and hate to see another year thrown away, expecially with such a tallented team.

The idea of going with Childress one more year in hopes that a spacific coach may be available then is just stupid justification for holding onto Childress.
