Re: How Would Allen change FA and the draft?

Mar I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you on this one.
You don't trade your first round pick and second and third to bring in a guy you want to switch positions from where he is comfortable.
You wouldn't trade for Ed Reed and have him switch spots.
Allen is at a level that he'll play where he has.

If he was a guy who only played RDE I wouldn't even be talking about it, however, this cat is one of those rare breeds who can put a hand down on either side and get it done.

If he wasn't that type of character then this thread wouldn't even exist.
Suffice it to say, he is comfortable on both sides of the ball and in the middle.
Lets not forget what he did to us this year from the left side and I think he got 3 sacks from the left side against the Bengals and GG just gave us a video of a sack from there against the Jags.

Long story short.....were he was depended on who thier weakest T was and who made up the best matchup.
In our base 4-3 (Mostly first and second down will be runs) I would line him up on the left side.

I don't know - I liked Match Point and everything, but I just don't think Woody Allen is qualified to make decisions for us in the draft.

Allen is one of those guys, that because of his non-stop engine,
he can play either side and be successful.
He is capable of giving either tackle fits.
Four score and seven years ago, Brad Childress has brought upon this team, a west coast offense, conceived in San Francisco, and Dedicated to be a Kick jiggly butt offence. We are now engaged in an NFL season, testing weather that offense can get going or that our defense can long endure.

I hope that they do double team him at times... free up big K-Will to get some sacks

Re: How Would Allen change FA and the draft?

    He is my thoughts.

I think we get it done for a first and a 2nd next year.

That will leave us with a:
    2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th ,7th
I think the draft monkeys will work their magic and give up our 3rd this draft to get our 2rd rounder back next year. We may draft up to get an extra 4th.

I would be happy with that but also wouldn't beeeeyyyyatch if we went into the draft with:

    3rd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th ,7th

We could add some quality depth to several key positions with those picks and even move up a couple of times.

    What about packaging
Early third and 5th to get into the 2nd
Late 3rd and 4th to get into the 2nd
    So we look like

    2nd, 2nd 6th, 6th, 7th
Too much in between picks for you?
