Vick benefited from some extraordinary receiving this year, and it was joke in general that he was up for MVP. Throw in the fact that he's getting older, and probably only realistically has a handful of seasons left in the league I'd rather take my chances on a polished passer like Orton who would play well in our system with our receivers, while we develop Webb who has that speed burst that Vick has lost, the big arm, and the poise that both these QB's are lacking.
To at all dismiss how well Michael Vick played this season is pure hate ... nothing else.

He clearly had a spectacular season ... and it is definitely not just the receivers. To even start to say Joe Webb has more poise in the pocket than Vick (or Young for that matter) is simply ridiculous.

As for both Young and Vick ... simply put, they win football games ... don't know what else they need to do. They can try to look pretty for you if you like, but pretty sure that is a job of a pageant contestant ... not an NFL quarterback.
Vick can win games but to say Vince Young wins games is a little bit of a stretch. Yes Young has a winning record as a starter but did you see that most his wins came from sub .500 teams? He does not have a good record against winning teams, go look it up.
He is 32 and 21...I would take that in a heart beat.
You do realize that that is a essentially a 10 win season every year?
Also can you name his WR options before Britt? Give the guy some credit. He wins and he wins often.

Gotta say, I trust Jeff Fisher's judgement. So does a billionaire owner, who has had a boner for Vince for years. IMO, a QB who went to his coach and essentially said, "I'm giving up" on you and the Team is not what our Team needs. This is not Texas, the wheat has been separated from the chaff IMO. Your argument has done nothing to sway me...just saying'.

Although, Chris Mortenson says, "Vince Young and Leslie Frazier make perfect sense together." Apparently, Mort sees it your way, you should go into TV! Further to the point that we all have our own opinions.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

"If I had one team I could honestly sit here and say right now I could see him [Vince Young] fitting into, I'd say it's the Minnesota Vikings," said ESPN's Darren Woodson, a former NFL safety.

How did he do against teams that had a winning record? Sorry but to think that Vince Young will be our quarterback is a kick in the nuts.

In the NFL, thats a weak arguement. How about this... Peyton Manning has a losing record in the playoffs, go look it up.

I am not a big fan of VY. I think he has a lot of maturing to do. I think part of his past injury issues have been due to lack of preparation and work. Whether he pull his head out of his ass to become a great QB remains to be seen. However, the guy is a gamer. He wouldn't be the worst acquisition. I'm just sayin.

I'll take Brett Favre in a wheelchair over Vince Young. Michael Vick will be too much for our standards. I think we just need to go with a Rookie QB like a Mallett or Locker and build around them.

Post of the year IMO. Way to take the thread to another level and really get everyone thinking about the topic.

Most qbs don't have good record against winning teams. That's why their winning teams. Any win in the NFL is a good win. Young is 32 and 21 as a starter, Vick is 46-32-1. They has almost the same win percentage so I don't see your point.

And keep in mind, at this point in Vick's career he wasn't exactly "mature" either, and we would be in a hell of a lot better situation if we pulled the trigger on him.
