I think cogitans and Ltrey pretty much summed up my opinion as well, although there is something I would like to add that I have been thinking about.
Drafting Calvin Johnson - I think they would want him, but I don't see him falling out of the top 4. And the Vikings will not trade up. The sound of it is that they would more likely bulk up more picks in this years draft than getting less.
That has been the opinion of most of the community here at PP.O, including me.
Childress preaches a team effect, and would rather have a handful of good players than one really great one.
That would make sense if he takes some of his drafting strategy from his former boss (Ried).
Last draft the Vikings sent their two third-round picks (Nos. 83 and 95) to Pittsburgh for the final pick of the second round to grab TJ.
So Childress isn't against
moving up to grab a player he wants.
It will all come down to what happens in FA, and how much Childress wants CJ.
I still don't think we will trade up to get him, but it wouldn't shock me if we did.
