Not sure how I feel about Cutler at all, I guess I'm kinda hoping that he goes before we have the chance to take him. I just don't have a good feeling.

That said, if we do end up taking him and he does well I'll be the first one to apologize and back him 100%.

Ernie Sims would probly fit what we need really well....but hopefully he won't beat up his girlfriend or anybody else anymore.

Re: His Highness Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock draft

Kiper has posted his projections for rounds 1 through 4. Below are who he thinks we're taking.

Round 1 - Ernie Sims, OLB, Florida State
Round 2a- Kellen Clemens, QB, Oregon
Round 2b- Chris Chester, OL, Oklahoma
Round 3a- Will Blakmon, WR/CB, Boston College
Round 3b- Le Kevin Smith, DT, Nebraska
Round 4- Miles Austin, WR, Monmouth

Interesting group if you ask me. Two wideouts, another D lineman and a QB that isn't talked about quite as much as Croyle, Whitehurst and Jacobs. I think Mel may have missed the train here.

Re: His Highness Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock draft

He's not the most intelligent person in the world I'd say. If his draft goes that way we could pick.

    1)Ernie Sims/Chad Greenway - whoever's available
    2a) Kiwanuka
    2b) Ko Simpson
    3a) Max Jean-Gilles
    3b) Omar Jacobs

They seem like they won't last that long (which they won't), but in his draft, all of those players are available at those picks.

He also has Omar going Day 2, does he not?

Re: His Highness Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock draft

    From Espn Insider---

With the NFL draft two weeks away, the one hot spot in the first round remains with the New Orleans Saints and second overall pick. While I still have North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams going to New Orleans, the outlook of the first round could change significantly if the Saints trade the pick.
My first-round projections remain nearly the same, with the one newcomer being NC State defensive end Manny Lawson. Overshadowed by Williams at NC State, Lawson had a very good senior season then performed exceptionally well at the NFL scouting combine. Right now I am projecting the Jets will use their second first-round pick on Lawson, where he will be used as a pass-rushing defensive end/outside linebacker.

New this week are my projections for the second, third and fourth rounds. You will be surprised to see some players initially projected as first-round picks have slipped to the second round in recent weeks.
