Highlights from Mankato, Monday, August 4th.

    Jared Allen looked great again.
On the first play against the offense he got through and stuffed Chet Taylor for a 4 yard loss.
    TJack was once again unimpressive.
After practice we stopped at Johnny B's for a couple of cold ones.
Then we went to the bar right next to it.
Not sure of the name of the bar.
The first person we seen when we walked in was Steve Hutchinson sitting at the end of the bar drinking a pitcher of beer.
At first I thought it was strange that he was drinking beer after the morning practice, then I realized that the afternoon practice was for special teams and he would not have to practice.
We are going back next Monday and spending the night.

    was Hutch alone?
    or were some teammates there.
I sure hope he wasn't in there drinking a pitcher of beer alone in the morning.

I haven't been hearing much about TJ looking unimpressive?
    Care to elaborate?

from what i've heard, he is on and off.
However, if you like TJ, you find reasons why his camp was good.
IF you don't like him, you find reasons why he is unimpressive.
I think vikingivan is not a TJ fan.

Everyone knows that the temperature overrides the time.
If it's hot out and it's 9 a.m. you can drink beer.

    Hutch was all by himself.
    It was noon though.

    Not a good sign really.
Fortunately I haven't heard of any drinking problems by Hutch before, so maybe he does this sometimes.
    get some alone time.

Maybe he was here and read El's guide to drinking by yourself (or maybe it was C Mac D, can't remember)

couldn't have been noon though, because it was 1:00 EST when you first posted that, training camp is in Central time, meaning it would ahve been 12:00, and it would take some time between you seeing him and posting about it.

I think vikingivan is not a TJ fan.
I am a fan of whomever the Vikings start at QB.
When there is no rush and the qb continues to underthrow passes in my opinion that is a bad day.
Plus when Sapp jumps the route and picks the qb off and nearly takes it to the house, that just cannot continue to happen.
At least TJack looked better than McKinnie.
    He stunk!
We are going to both practices next Monday, and again on Tuesday morning.
Hopefully, TJack will look better then.

The bartender said that Hutch comes in there all the time.
I guess it beat sitting in the dormitory.
It was kind of funny that noone other than us recognized him.
As we were leaving I asked a group of guys that we were sitting next to on the patio if they seen Hutch at the bar.
They did not even notice him.
He is a pretty big guy to miss.
