Hope they all buy into it.

    Sage or TJ
    AD, CT
    BB, PH, Wade, Rice

    VS

With a disciplined OL, we can do some damage, even if PH isn't an instant spark plug on offense!
Not hopping on you, SIA, but this is what I'm talking about when I've been writing today about expectations with Harvin.
NO ONE should expect at this point that he will start before mid-season, if at all, unless there are injury concerns.
Berrien and Wade are the presumptive starters, with Sid Rice as the 2nd outside with Wade in the slot if they go 3-wide.

    Thanks for the polite reply.
    Keeps from posters getting defensive.

I hear what you are saying.
None of us know now what part he is going to play.
I did hear in one of those video clips, I am thinking it was one of the Vikes clips,
that he was drafted to start.
I hope someone remembers what clip that was from.
    I hope it wasn't a commentators phrase.

I do believe that he will get touches immediately, maybe not an every down guy, but will have touches.
The argument that his explosiveness will help AD be even better is accurate IMHO.

I do think that this might be something we are just clinging to like the "r*********s cling to their guns" (LOL).
We have to have something to look forward to.
Harvin being a positive to cling to.....

Zeus, in all respect, we didn't select the kid in the 1st round to have him be our #4 WR.

I'm looking for the article now, but I'm pretty sure either the WR Coach or OC said he'd be starting immediately.

    "Roughriders"?

    I cling to:
    * Steady improvement. 6-10 to 8-8 to 10-6 Division Champs.
    * Another season of Jared Allen.
    * The return of Kenechi Udeze.
    * The return of EJ Henderson.
    * Another season of Bernard Berrien.
    * The absence of Darren Sharper.
    * Another season of Adrian Peterson.
    * More wonderful mornings tailgating with PPO.

I am not sure about the starting part but I do remember hearing something to the effect he will be getting a lot of reps quickly.

Yeah, seems to be all I can find too. I could have sworn I read George Stewart say that.

Anyways, he'll probably be ahead of Rice at least.

    Different players, different WR positions.
Small, speedy guys like Harvin work best from the slot, not the outside.

I am wondering if we will see some 4 WR sets this year.

    Berrian
    Wade

    Harvin

    Rice

    That would be exciting!

    rep*bl*c*ns

Those are some good things to cling to...... it is a compelling list.

But I want to add another one to that list and that is Harvin.

I think it was unfair to put pressure on TW to be the next RM.
I also think that it would be unfair to say that Harvin will have the same impact as RM.
I don't think it is unfair to want "The Kid" to do well and make contributions to the team anyway he can.

If he can't get YAC, then I say there is something wrong with our offense or the QB is not getting the ball in the WRs hand in position to do so.
We (some of us) have unfairly put the blame on poor WRs, with the exception of the over the top to BB.

Once again, that is a good list to cling to!

I thought I heard it also in one of the videos.
It seemed like it was implied he would be ahead of Rice.
    We will see.
Was it in the behind the scenes video of draft day? I am outta here, got to head to work.

Man does that turn me on. Well except for the Sharper comment. You forgot some.

    * The arrival of Harvin
    * The arrival of Favre

    * The arrival of a real RT, Load.
    * Depth at nickel CB
    * Rice entering his 3rd year and healthy
