    Harvin Carted Off Field

    http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/blogs/99688744.html?elr=KArksi8cyaiU9PmP:QiUiD3aPc:_Yyc: aUU

Lets hope that he's ok. Cart and unknown injury always screams ACL or MCL damage to me.

Sapp was carted off as well, but later came back and said it was cramping. Hopefully it is just the same with harvin.

Said Williams: "I don't care who it is. This ain't college no more, there's grown me out there. They're paying these college boys like they already played before. This is a different breed out there, this is grown men, it ain't boys no more."

Asked if he had anything to say to Gerhart as he was on the ground, Williams said: "I don't apologize to nobody. Get your [butt] up. Let's go. That's how I roll."
That ought to put a smile on Marrdro's face.

    Re: Harvin Carted Off Field

Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said in his post-practice news conference that he didn't even know Harvin had left on a cart until told by a member of the media relations staff.

    Re:Harvin Carted Off Field

Now I wish I would have went to this practice (have to work until 2 am, so decided to get other stuff done instead) because this sounds like it was poorly reported in my opinion.

They say that Harvin "left the field on a cart"... just going off of previous training camp experiences, this is not uncommon. I do not believe that Harvin was "carted" off the field in the traditional sense that we're used to with football. At training camp, if someone is beaten up, too sore, cramping, etc, sometimes as a precaution a staff member will come on a golfcart, not a medical cart, and give the player a ride back.

So, just by the way it was worded, and off of the basis that the offensive coordinator wasn't aware of it, I'm going to assume that it was a standard camp precaution. The first couple practices are always the most physical, as the veterans are just excited to be wearing pads and hitting someone.

Most likely nothing to worry about, at least I hope so anyway. I'll be @ camp tomorrow and will let you know what I see.

Yup. I called it the second I saw how Judd worded it in his article.

He just wanted the site traffic and something about the title "Percy Harvin Carted off Field" will draw that attention. Just a beat writer making an exaggeration, I didn't even have to go to camp to call it out
