I really would like to see a QB for Brad to train, he is getting old and we need a fresh new QB, not someone else's headache. I really like Jay Cutler for this position.

It doesn't take much to move up. ONE 2nd round pick in addition to
our #17 pick gets us to jump up to #10.

I think the Vikings would pick up a QB and trade, if CUTLER falls out
of the top 10. From #10, this is the draft order

    10) Cardinals (they may draft a OT? They'd want to trade down. And
    we know Denny Green)
    11) Rams (We got the Linehan connection. He may want to drop because
    I think they'll pick a guy on D)
    12) Browns (same as Rams)
    13) Ravens (It's a longshot, but they may draft Cutler)
    14) Eagles (Childress knows people there)
    15) Broncos (from Falcons) (I have a strange feeling that the Broncos
would pick Cutler if he drops, so we'd HAVE to trade up)
    16) Dolphins (no point in trading because we're right next to them in
    the draft)

SO ... #17 and #48 can get us a QB if they fall out of the top 10.
If we want Cutler the strategy is to wait and see till after the Jets pick. The Jets could take Cutler, or if two QBs are off the board by then, the Raiders may take Cutler as well.

If both Young and Cutler are on the board after the Jets pick, we start making big moves to try and trade with the Cardinals or in front of them. I seriously doubt Cutler will make it past them.

If we can't trade in front of the Cardinals and they DON'T take Cutler we still have to try and be aggresive and trade up to get the QB. Assuming he will drop past the Rams and Ravens is dangerous.

I say we need to get a QB. LB is a very close second.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Last year we traded Moss. Our first pick was a wide receiver. I'm pretty sure that this year we'll trade up for a higer spot to fill that quarterback spot that the Culpepper trade left us - someone to work into our offense. Childress wants his own kid in there. New coach. New quarterback.

But what's it going to take to get that QB? I still want to see the Vikes get Greenway yet too. I'm an Iowa boy. Wouldn't mind seeing Chad wearing the purple and gold.
