One of the interesting things about this competition is it's not just about ability but also where the players can be used on the field as well as potential matchups. Gordon and Sapp, for instance, can play either the natural cornerback position or slide inside and cover the slot receiver. McCauley strictly lines up at the corner, meaning if he's used in the nickel, veteran Antoine Winfield slides from the left corner into the slot.
I would rather see Winfield not line up in the slot.
But it may make more sense, height matchup-wise, Mars.

Well as long as McCauley is not there it might not matter. He got schooled by #1 and #2 WRs last year. I just think Winfield has a better chance regardless of height.

A year may make a world of difference, experience-wise.

very nice, if i were to be called a crotch sniffer of anyone on the vikes it would be Gordon, i wouldnt be surprised if he cracks the starting lineup if winfield goes down or Griffin doesnt play up to expectations

Pissing on the Pack since 08'
