100% Agree RK. Smoot did just fine in the backfield as nickel after the first few bad games when his tackling was poor.

You will find very few here who will admit it, but Winfield gave up a lot of passes this year & on critical 3rd downs. The film doesn't lie. He made a lot of tackles after the catches with not much YAC's, but a lot of those catches resulted in the chains still getting moved.

he had natural leadership as evident by the love boat..and he was one of thee best smack talkers in the game. he, dwight smith, and whitaker made an awesome smack talking trio especially when they were on the field at the same time. by far the best trio in the league..gone now

What has Edwards shown us so far? He had a great interception in one game & little play time. He still has to prove himself IMO.

However, while he was not exactly worse, he is more expensive.

WTF are you talking about? God I hate it when people insuate Smoot was talking smack all season long. He talked a little smack back in training camp this past season & that was it. One incident that I recall. It was Smith & Sharper talking smack this year.

Well then people should say it like the fuck it is! He was overpaid for his position. That's why he is being released.
