    Fullback feeling Minnesota

Tony Richardson leaves for Vikings after 11 seasons in Kansas City.BY ADAM TEICHERKansas City StarKANSAS CITY, Mo. - In the end, tearing himself away from the Chiefs and Kansas City was so difficult that Tony Richardson almost couldn't make himself do it.
He spent a night agonizing over the decision presented by the Minnesota Vikings. Could he really leave behind the community where he'd finally made a home and the team he'd sweated for during the last 11 seasons?
On Tuesday, Richardson finally decided he could. The Vikings dangled the prospect of a bright finish to his career, something the Chiefs couldn't necessarily promise.
That, along with a two-year, $2.5 million contract, led the two-time Pro Bowl fullback to choose a new life and career in Minnesota.

Personally, I'm pleased to see the return of a true Fullback to the offense. Almost all the best rushers in the NFL today run behind a stud Fullback:

    Shaun Alexander - Mack Strong
Priest Holmes/Larry Johnson - Tony Richardson
Ahman Green (at one time) - William Henderson
    LaDanian Tomlinson - Lorenzo Neal

    Some Exceptions:
    Jamal Lewis
    Tiki Barber
    Broncos RB's
    Steven Jackson

Lets hope both the coaching staff and the announcers can say "Run Left".

Looking forward to it. Man why is the off-season so long?

Now we need to hope that the right side of the line shapes up so the running game is a little less predictable than it looks right now...

    Terrelle Smith?

He was McAllister's FB and now is Droughn's FB. He is good, really good.

I can see Chester ripping off some big runs with Richardson leading the way and Birk back healthy. CBS Sportsline article today is talking all about how Childress loves Chester Taylor. So, there is our starting back.

the one advantage i guess to having one side of line being better than the other is that if teams overcompensate and start loading up on that side of the line, it leaves them exposed to bigger plays on the other side....

    silver lining?
