Looks like he's gonna be available!!!
Dude is still good for two or three more very good seasons...we need to step up and grab him to solidify the middle for us.

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers LB Donnie Edwards will not re-sign with the team as a free agent. "We're not doing anything (with the Chargers)," said Tom Condon, Edwards' agent. "What Tom Condon told you is correct," general manager A.J. Smith said. "Donnie will not be part of the San Diego Chargers this year."

Upon reading the title of this thread, I thought Donnie Edwards was up for grabs for free. Ahh well, we have the cap room, don't we?

THIS time, we don't have to give up ANYONE in a trade scenario though...so this time will be a different type of six months than last time!

I never would have imagined one year ago I would have felt this way, but LB is probably one of the least of my worries right now.

If what I have heard is true and the Vikes new D coordinator is going to run a version of the 4 - 6 defense then Cajun you might get your wish because they will have to bring in more linebackers that can play at a high level.

Favre is staying out of the state, by my calculations I will be on to parts unknown by the time he returns.

What are you going to do if the Vikings sign Donnie Edwards?
