Still wondering why he is out there and why the Vikes didn't bring him in. I am not real big on bringing in the older guys to play QB for a short term solution but of all of the ones we have had he has shown he still can play, and if they really wanted to bring in some legit competition,
and if at least something else a QB with experince in the WC offense TB and Philly that if nothing else could hopefully mentor Tjack or at leat sit behind and learn for a year to see how it's done.

Another one I am wondering why he is still out there. I have this weird feeling that he will end up in Chicago. Him or Harrison. Would make a lot of sesne since they have a nice new QB and no one to throw it to. Will probably not get a top WR by the time they pick in round 2 so a nice vet to lead the WR corp would make sense.

I don't know why we haven't grabbed him.
Especially with the apparent low interest, we should be able to get him for a reasonable price on a short term contract.
We are basically only a QB away from a SB run.

But Chilly seems to love our QB's so...

I'm also with you on the Bears WR thing.
A savvy vet to go with their speedy Hester could be scary.

Exactly if he is sold on TJack, then bring in someone that can truly give him some competition and if nothing else can show him some things especially a vet that already knows the system and has played in it for a while, and was a former player of yours.

I'm very surprised that we haven't made a run at any of these guys.
We had close to 30 million at the start of free agency I believe and yeah, we made a run at TJH but it didn't work out.
I'm not a person who once we lose out on the first guy, automatically says go for guy #2 because that could get us in trouble but with guys like Holt who is a savy veteran and a pretty good route runner/possession receiver, why not?

So, assuming a new CBA with salary cap is agreed upon, Are we just going to have a shit-ton of cash next year?

It seems that we are more focused on re-signing current Vikies, which I'm ok with.
