Free Agents that are still available and could help the Vikes
Here are some of the FA that could stil help the Vikes
W/R
Marvin Harrison
Lance Moore RFA (if they could make a good deal worth getting)
Torry Holt
(he has asked for his release)
Bobby Engram
(2007
94 catches
1,147 yards 6 TD)
maybe he has a good year left
Ronald Curry
Drew Bennet
Miles Austin RFA
Center
Richie Incognito
RFA
Guard/Center
(3rd rd tender) Mean SOB if he can contol himself he is very good
Brad Meester
Greg Ruegamer
O-T
Khalif Barnes
Mark Tauscher
(had knee surgery but is a solid player and we steal him from GB)
John St. Clair
Tra Thomas
Safety
Sean Jones
Atari Bigby
(another player to steal from GB)
James Butler
Jeramaine Phillips
C/B
Braynt McFadden
(he would cost alot)
R.W McQuarter
Chris McAlister
Phillip Buchanon
Some of these players could help us out either as starters or backups for depthWhat we've got here is failure to communicate.

Health is always a concern Marr, but I'm sure our DR's would give him a good going over, before we made any kind of offers.
If anything, I would think that the knee issue would help us to structure a contract that would be favorable to the Vikings Organization.
We all know that in todays medical world, wonders can be done with Knees, Backs, Hips ect...
I'de still would like us to give a solid look at him, and I should have added, a solid look at his recovery from surgery.

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

As long as his surgery went well, I think he would be an upgrade.
However, I think we are looking toward the draft for OT help right now.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: Free Agents that are still available and could help the Vikes
Couple of sites I visit regulary for updates.....
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB...c.php?t=300698
Guy does a decent job up almost instant updates.
http://walterfootball.com/freeagents.php
Gives a quick snapshot of each player.....
OL - Daniel Loper, Titans. Age: 27
CB - Chris Carr, Titans. Age: 26
CB - Bryant McFadden, Steelers. Age: 27
DT - Jimmy Kennedy, Vikings. Age: 29
WR - Reggie Williams, Jaguars. Age: 26
I wouldn't be to upset if they got any of those cats.
Put a fire under JK's ass, figure out why RW's numbers went down from 2007, Carr gives nice dept at CB and a return guy and I think Loper would be a nice prospect even though he hasn't started anyplace (based on what Roos said about him last night)....
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Free Agents that are still available and could help the Vikes
I read at the start of FA that the Vikes were interested in Chris Carr but so far we haven't set up a meeting.
Anyone know anything about that?Brad Childress is 1-6 in games played Dec. 17 or later.

I think the last place he was sighted was the Lions...Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
