What can you say. They keep swinging and striking out on these guys.
I actually feel bad for the front office guys. They seems to by trying, but we all just sit here watching these guys go elsewhere.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

A little more than a week into the free-agent signing period, the Vikings have filled holes at wide receiver, safety, fullback and kick returner, but have gone 0 for 3 in their search for a starting defensive end.....

Re: Free-agent success hasn't included a DE
Thanks my friend.
Very interesting read.
I have faith in ole Rick.
He will get a guy in that will fill the hole at LDE. The more I look at his stuff I like either Cambell or Merling who could both be there at 17.
Add one of these two guys'
Tony Hargrove
Unrestricted Bills
6-3 272lbs 4 years 10.5 career sacks
Josh Thomas
Unrestricted Colts
6-5 271lbs 4 years 6 career sacks
For a lineup that looks like this.
RDE
Edwards/Robison/Grigsby (or James)
DT
K-will/Evans
DT
Phat Pat/Rookie
LDE Mitchell/Hargrove or Thomas/Campbell or Merling
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills defensive end Anthony Hargrove pleaded guilty Monday to disorderly conduct, drawing a $300 fine and 200 hours of community service for an altercation with police outside a Rochester nightclub in August.
Hargrove, 24, was charged with resisting arrest, criminal mischief and harassment after police said he broke an officer's eyeglasses during an early morning encounter on Aug. 5 while the Bills were in town for preseason training camp.

NFL suspends Hargrove for season after 3rd substance abuse violation
Associated Press
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills defensive end Anthony Hargrove was suspended without pay for all of next season Monday by the NFL after violating the league's substance abuse policy a third time.
The violation was Hargrove's second since August, when he was suspended without pay for the first four games of the regular season.
A third violation triggers an automatic one-year suspension, and Hargrove must apply to commissioner Roger Goodell for reinstatement.

Re: Free-agent success hasn't included a DE
D'oh!!
Guess he's off the list.
Thomas would be worth talking to...experience with Tampa2.
Young.
Not much experience...reasonably priced depth.
But, if they've got their minds set on a guy in the draft, that roster spot may be spoken for.Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!
