We pass up Leonard Pope, Ashton Youboty, Darnell Bing, Brodie Croyle, for this loser? a 5th round talent, a fringe NFL player? In the 2nd round?

Well let's put this in perspective..

We have 2 TE's of starting quality in Wiggins and Kleinsasser.. if one goes down the other can step in easily.

Beyond Birk at Center we have...

Nobody who can step in and play the position well. They picked the wrong center (why not Eslinger?) but you can't fault the reasoning to pick one.

You all are missing the whole point. We gave up our franchise QB for a back-up center! We could have had Croyle, Calhoun, Stovall, etc. We could have gotten this guy on the second day!

The #48. or #51 should have been spent on a QB. If Johnson goes down, who do we have? We have Mike McMahon who hasn't proved himself despite several opportunities.. If BJ goes down next season, we are screwed. They better get their heads out of their a$$es and get a QB quick.
