Four Free Agents to wish for
http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/blogs/121431184.html
The Vikings picked up a few players in the draft who are expected to contribute immediately in Christian Ponder, Kyle Rudolph and Christian Ballard. But there are still plenty of holes to fill through free agency. Thanks to the lockout and continuing legal mess, we haven’t had that annual free-for-all just yet.
The rules for free agency are yet to be determined. And we don’t know who’s a free agent yet either.
NFL.com compiled a list of potential free agents as if the NFL operates under the rules from the 2010 CBA.
Of that list, here’s four players who are reasonable targets for the Vikings when free agency does begin

Re: Four Free Agents to wish for
A DT, a Safety, and two offensive linemen sound perfect to me.
Seems like these guys would come not-so-cheap though. We need to save some cash for Peterson, Rice, and Greenway.

Re: Four Free Agents to wish for
Free agents that might become available I would like to see us at least show an interest in. One or two of these guys and we're a very good looking team
Offense:
Braylon Edwards
Santonio Holmes
Steve Smith (NYG)
Randy Moss
Santana Moss
James Jones
Jermon Bushrod
Willi Colon
Carl Nicks
Harvey Dahl
Ryan kalil
Justin Blalock
Defense:
Shaun Cody (Marty's "Warpig")
Lamar Woodley
Rocky McIntosh
Thomas Davis
Mike Peterson
Clint Session
Ernie Simms
Jonathan Joseph
Antoio Cromartie
Richard marshal
Quinten mikell
eric Weddle
Dawan landry
Tanard Jackson
Atari Bigby
Now, alot of those guys will get re-signed by their current team, but there's also a bunch that will be looking for a job. i think any of them could come in and help us out.

Re: Four Free Agents to wish for
As long as we are wishing where is o-something something from Oakland. He is a shut down corner that can play cover 2, a perfect fit for us!! I would want to get him of rsure!!

There s only two things stopping you - fear and common sense!! The Truth you CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

I think you mean Nnandi Asomoghua (sp)? He would be great but very expensive.

VERY VERY expensive ... but quite possible worth every penny.

I would not at all be disappointed in us pursuing him. I would, however, be completely shocked if he had any interest in Minnesota. Though Frazier was a great CB and with Singletary and Pagac around, he may be interested in what could be a defensive minded team.

I hope we don't sign a warpig just for the lulz at Marty.
We're bringing purple back.

Re: Four Free Agents to wish for
I've been reading lots of stuff about Dallas as the team you will have to outbid to get his services.

a. Rob Ryan wants to run the same offense that the Jets run.
b. To do that you need atleast(among other thins) one shut down CB.
c. The owner wants to make a big splash to draw fan interest.
Supposedly, Jerry is going to try to get that done. I don't think the Wilf Ownership Group (although I'd love to see him in Purple and Gold) can outbid that sneaky Texan. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Four Free Agents to wish for
I bet they can, but won't. They'd be smart to make an attempt, and get an offer out there. Best case, we get him. Worst case, we drive up the price for other teams. I think you grossly underestimate how much spending money we have. Wilf has shown he doesn't mind spending the big bucks on players, I don't see why you think that will change.
