The Minnesota Vikings would do best to stay away from a receiver and concentrate on a defensive back....

Re: Forget WR, Vikings need to draft a DB
Thanks for the read my friend.
A DB wouldn't suprise me either, however, if you were to believe some of the rumors being touted today, you would believe this pick will be gone for a QB, most notably Quinn or Campbell.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

The issue(s): The Vikings have very few holes in their defense, but one issue to consider is the team could lose Pro Bowl defensive tackles Pat and Kevin Williams for the first four games if their suspensions are upheld in their court case against the NFL. Also, Pat Williams is entering his 13th season and cornerback Antoine Winfield his 11th season so the team might look to add players to groom as possible replacements.

Re: Forget WR, Vikings need to draft a DB
I'd be very surprised to see us grab defensive help with our first two picks. We can get some DB help later when teams let guys go. Unless Peria Jerry slipped to us at 22, forcing some tough decisions, we will bolster our offense with picks 1, and 2.

I support taking defense in the first round.
We're bringing purple back.

Re: Forget WR, Vikings need to draft a DB
The thing is, the defense is fine. We're going to have some missing pieces coming back from injuries last year. We were a top 5 defense last year and that was without EJ Henderson, the defensive leader and arguably the best player.
The passing game is in shambles. I'm all for the Harvin pick. The more playmakers on the field, the better. Berrian, Harvin, Shiancoe, and Adrian would make for a nice little offensive combo on the field together.
OT would be the safe pick and would fill a need... I just don't know if Britton is all many of you are making him out to be.

As much as I want Phonso, I think it is either Harvin or Britton.

A good corner could make this teams defense one of the elite defenses in the NFL.
It also may not be a bad move considering the Bears got Cutler and Winfields future is in question.
So even tho it looks like Harvin at 22. I wouldn't be disappointed if they took a corner.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff.
