Forget No. 1. Who will be Vikings' No. 2 guy?

The team would prefer the backup QB be Sage Rosenfels. They've pursued him before, and there's reason they'll do it again.

The Vikings' backup quarterback in 2008 will be....

The Vikings' top choice is clear: Rosenfels. In fact, they made him one of their top offseason priorities and considered his acquisition no less important than that of receiver Bernard Berrian or safety Madieu Williams.
    Hmmmm....interesting.

well i hope we get the guy somehow..at first i thought 'no way', but now since weve chosen not to go after certain guys, we really CANT go into the season with bollinger the #2..get a deal done

It's going to be a real shame when we cave in and give up a second rounder for Sage(Hopefully we don't).
And it's going to be a bigger shame when Sage isn't "the guy" and he goes the way of Kelly Holcomb in a year or two.

I think it's clear that this FO maybe the worst at understanding and evaluating QB talent I have ever seen. We are constantly rading picks for QBs that are never was or never will be.

I can't belive we are trading a 3rd rounder for a guy they are obviously ready to replace with Gray.

We offered a 3rd pick. They wanted a 2nd. Meaning that we are willing to give up a third. I can't believe we are willing o give up a third.

Regardless of who they get. They still need that veteran QB presence on this team to help mentor the other two.

    Bollinger IS NOT that QB.

We have to have faith in our FO. Sage won 4 of his 5 starts last year, and would be a huge upgrade over BB, and would push Tarvaris for the number 1. Competition only makes you better.
