While I don't often agree with you, I love your wit.

And I think you're right on there.

Says the crowd with their panties bunched up their collective asses.

He is a good lead blocker, which is exactly what we need in a FB. Judging a FB by his yards per catch is like judging a WR solely by his ability to block.

That would make sense if he COULD block, but he's as bad a blocker as he is a receiver.
He plugs up more holes than he creates, and Peterson himself has stated he prefers running without him in the backfield.
This is the same Peterson who was upset on not bringing Richardson back, so he's not anti-fullback.

I beleive this is the beginning of a deal that will send Tahi to the Bengals for a late round draft pick.

The Bengals have 11 draft picks and 6 picks in the last 3 rounds. My guess is they will be willing to part with one of them if they think that Tahi is their starting FB. They can't part with compensitory selections but they can part with 142, 179, or 215. Having 4 compensitory picks will give them the ability to part with a late rounder since it isn't likely that 11 rookies are going to make their 53-man roster. Not to mention that the Vikings could use the picks since we only have 6 total and no 4th or 6th rounder.

If the bengals were trying to sign him, then did, and we decided we would rather keep him, he was probably the best fullback on the market.

In hindsight we should have drafted Owen Schmidt, whose replacing the almighty Leonard Weaver, but Childress is an idiot.

The problem is he is not that good a player.
He makes a block here and there.
Not great coing out of the backfield.
We already have players in the system that can fill in at FB.
Kleinny, Mills and Taylor can all play the FB position and most likely do better.
This is a waste of a roster spot imo.
