Whatever happened to Erin? He would be the logical replacement I believe
At this point I would have to ask what has Erin done on STs to be named Captain?
He seems like he can be a good player but he was beaten up a few times last year on STs.
I would rather keep D Thomas and name him Captain of STs.
He's proven he can be that player.

I thought of that too but I don't think childress likes to use the tag.
Besides in this scenerio I think it would only piss Farwell off.
He wants to test the market and justifiably so.
I really hope the Vikings match offers but bottom line Farwell wants to play LB.
With EJ, Leber adn Greenway it will be difficult to find playing time.
I think he would be great on 3rd downs.

do you know if its childress's call?
whether he wants to tag him or not, Farwell still has to sign off on it.
You cant just slap it on him without him knowing.

Man, that would suck to lose Farwell.

Here is how I think it will play out: Some other team will promise to put him in "competition" with someone for a starting job...and then the regular season will come around and he'll end up back on special teams as a 2nd string linebacker. Kind of a cynical way to look at it...but I think he'll go for the greener grass.

We did the same thing when we signed circui

who does farwell think he is he's a career special teamer coming off an injury. if he wants to chase dollars let him

he's a hell of a player with a terrific work ethic, who has never really been given a chance to compete for a starting job and just wants to be given a shot.
How can you hate him for that?
