    Farwell signs tender
    March 25th, 2008 – 3:29 PM by Kevin Seifert

The Vikings announced that LB Heath Farwell has signed his 1-year contract tender, which guarantees him a $1.4 million salary this season. Farwell has been participating in the Vikings’ offseason strength and conditioning program and said Monday that signing the tender was a forgone conclusion.
    This is great news.
I wish they'd lock him up for a few more seasons if he is willing.

Linebacker Heath Farwell, the Vikings' only restricted free agent, said he expects to sign his one-year, $1.4 million tender and continue discussions on a long-term deal during the season.

Thanks for he update my friend.

One little nugget that could get lost in there if one weren't paying close attention.......

"I had a better offer money-wise from Cleveland," he said. "But I liked the opportunity here better."
Read that real close all you naysayers who think no one wants to come here or that this team isn't getting recognition by the players as a team that is on the upswing.

    SNAP.
    Broke off in your orfice.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

    1 year?!

Oh how I hate free agency.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

that was just the 1 year tender to back other teams off of him since he was a RFA.
Like most of the articles say, he hopes to negotiate a long term deal over the course of the season.

    Cleveland was offering more money

So if we didn't match that if he signed it.. We would have gotten another 2nd round pick huh?
