Considering the post contradicts the accuracy it claims, I'd be inclined to not believe any of it.

Right between Ryan Leaf and Matt Ryan? Wow that's accurate stuff there.
Did you read the article or are you making assumptions again.
Yes I did. Fact remains, that it's still an entirely subjective way of grading players. It's a good reference, but not a way to make decisions. For example, I would not rule out a guy who scored lower than .850, but then again, I wouldn't go out of my way to get a guy with a higher score who I didn't feel would make a good fit.
You're dead on ... it is just another rating system.

It clearly is not any more accurate than others considering it has a fairly similar amount of hit and misses at the top of the charts and lucky hits at the bottom of the charts.
I guess if you want to say that his hits at the bottom are lucky.

Besides, I didn't think his misses at the top were anywere close to what other teams have done.

I think, atleast for me, the biggest knock on Pike was the plate in his arm and that he had to keep having it re-tightened a couple of times.
I don't know, it was in his non throwing arm and he came back from that in a very short period of time. He is certainly raw but seems to be one tough hombre.

I hear ya, but it was still the knock on him.

Re: An Even More Accurate System Of Grading College QB

I like the system. Doesn't factor in a few important areas like injuries, and off the field incidents.
Also it doesn't really say when he came up with this system. Anyone can look at things after the fact and figure out what the successful guys have in common and then work back words to come up with a formula.
Still very interesting, I'll bookmark it and check back in a year or so to see how well it is working.
