    Eslinger

NCAA | Eslinger does 28 reps
    Thu, 23 Feb 2006 20:16:33 -0800

Minnesota OL Greg Eslinger did 28 repetitions in the 225-pound bench press at the NFL Combine Thursday, Feb. 23.

That's pretty good.. At the pro bowl some of the DT's and stuff couldn't do that many..

He is frickin fast and pulls awesome.. Best center in the nation..

I hope we take him 2nd round.. And Maroney 1st depending on if we get Edge or Jamal

I like Eslinger. He's a great pulling center. But I doubt that he would fit in with the Vikes with Birk coming back and he's a run/zone blocker which the Vikes won't do a lot of with the WC offense.

I want him to play guard.. He has the ability to take a guy 1 on 1.. We could use a run blocker too.. We need a run game

Yeah I agree. He is viciously strong and would fit right in on our O-Line.

Yup.. I didn't think he was that strong.. I thought he used his speed and technique more.. It's good news to see that he is a very strong guy.. It would be sweet to have him and Maroney too cuz they know eachother

I'd love to see him at the Vikings as a Guard/Backup-Center. That'd certainly be a trade-up from having Cory Withrow and Adam Goldberg backing up every position along the Offensive Line like we had last season.

Now were talking.. Birk is sorta on the decline im thinkin to? We will have to see if he stays healthy and everything..

It would be nasty to have Eslinger on our line in the future

I don't know if I'd say Birk is on the decline.. He's been beset by injuries, even when he made his first comeback he was playing with a Hernia. But seeing as we're clearing out our O-Line, we might as well get the player who was voted Best Interior Lineman in College. And the fact that he's a local boy (North Dakota High School and University of Minnesota graduate) would only make for great PR.

Yah I know man.. Just would be a nice backup and could possibly come into the starting rotation somewhere..

He was the best interior lineman!

    Re: Eslinger

Most of the mockdrafts I have seen have Eslinger going in the 3rd round, if we could get him in the 3rd round and have him learn behind Birk for 3 years I think it would be a very good pickup.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
