Hell if that's the case sign me up for him in the 2nd with us trading up with our 3rd rounders to get Phillips in the 1st and i'll be happy as hell. How is Manningham in anyway similar Braylon Edwards? I guess they both play WR and went to Michigan, but thats about the only similarity. Edwards is 6'3" and 217 pounds, Manningham is barely 6'0" and is 178 pounds. Edwards is a big physical receiver with amazing hands, Manningham is a small receiver with questionable hands.
Senior Year,
Braylon Edwards: 97 passes for 1,330 yards and 15 touchdowns
Mario Manningham: 72 passes for 1,174 yards and 12 touchdowns
College Career,
Braylon Edwards: 252 catches for 3,541 yards and 39 touchdowns
Mario Manningham: 137 catches for 2,310 yards and 27 touchdowns.
Braylon Edwards was the third overall pick, and Manningham will probably go in the middle to late second round. I don't see any similarities other than they are both from Michigan, it doesn't make much sense to compare them, just like it doesn't make any sense to compare every receiver from Marshall to Randy Moss, and every receiver from Mississippi Valley State to Jerry Rice.
Manningham may not have the Braylon numbers, but he's a hell of a lot better as a collegiate player then what we have in Wade, Fergie right now.
Rice and Manningham on each side is a nice WR combo, and one that'lll be around for awhile since they are both young. Now to put Mills in there at TE and see what we can do offensively through the airYou can't be let down if you don't expect the world

176 catches for 3,096 yards and 31 touchdowns for a MUCH worse team than Michigan.
