Edwards=Manningham??

Manningham is another guy I really like.
I realize a lot of people dislike him though.
But IMO, (and not just because they both played for michigan) he is a lot like Braylon.
And look at what Braylon is doing now.
Might have taken him a few years, but he is one of the elite recievers in the league right now.
Manningham just impresses me when i can get a chance to watch him.
He really performed in a big arena (capital one bowl vs. florida).
I know he has a tendancy to drop a pass here and there.
But another solid reciever we should be considering at some point if available.

I realize these are all my opinions and not everyone is going to agree.
So please don't give me crap.

We don't need another hopeful that drops passes.

He doesnt even come close to the amount Troy drops.
And he was better than troy in college.
Troy was simply fast.

How is Manningham in anyway similar Braylon Edwards? I guess they both play WR and went to Michigan, but thats about the only similarity. Edwards is 6'3" and 217 pounds, Manningham is barely 6'0" and is 178 pounds. Edwards is a big physical receiver with amazing hands, Manningham is a small receiver with questionable hands.

Senior Year,
Braylon Edwards: 97 passes for 1,330 yards and 15 touchdowns
Mario Manningham: 72 passes for 1,174 yards and 12 touchdowns

College Career,
Braylon Edwards: 252 catches for 3,541 yards and 39 touchdowns
Mario Manningham: 137 catches for 2,310 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Braylon Edwards was the third overall pick, and Manningham will probably go in the middle to late second round. I don't see any similarities other than they are both from Michigan, it doesn't make much sense to compare them, just like it doesn't make any sense to compare every receiver from Marshall to Randy Moss, and every receiver from Mississippi Valley State to Jerry Rice.

Manningham has hands and i dont care what people say about the drops.
To me, he reminds me of a small braylon.
Braylon also had speed.
So does manningham.
Braylon has good hands, and for the most part manningam has as well.

and what im trying to say is Manningham could be like Braylon in a few years.

So they both have speed, and for the most part have good hands? Doesn't that pretty much cover every receiver in the league? I'm not trying to bash your idea, I just don't understand the similarity.

Some obviously has to do with the fact that both played at Michigan.
But not entirely.
I just see a similarity with the way that they play.

Comparing their college stats means absolutely nothing.
