Re: Drafting Defensively or Offensively ?

I tend to think "this year". I'm not sure what the defensive draft will look like next year, but I'm sure there will be another bunch of respectable QBs. Think Brady Quinn. Sims, Greenway, J Allen. I would love Huff, but he'll be LONG GONE.

Atlanta just sign Milloy so they won't be taking a safety- My wish is Michael Huff first, if not then Ernie Sims will do just fine.

    1st round- Michael Huff/Ernie Sims
2nd- Brodie Croyle (good young QB) and Greg Blue.

    Thanks for the Sig LitlHarsh

You know your info, E. Sims would be a great player to have, but not too sure about Brodie Croyle, if we get a chance at V. Cutler. That would make easier finding our franchise QB

if 1 of the top 3 qbs drop 2 us we draft him if not were either going to draft a LB or a SS. hopefully we get 1 of each. qb lb ss that would fill some of our holes.

There are no safeties worth the 17th pick except Huff, and he'll be gone. If one of the QB's do slip we take him, otherwise I like the mid to late first round corners coming out. Antonio Cromartie from Florida State, he's a project, but he'll be great in a few years and thats what will need to dump either Smoot or Winfield in their old expensive age. Jason Allen from Tennesee is the same type, coming off injury, but he can play both CB and S. Donte Whitner from Ohio state would be a mistake in the first round. He might slip to us in the second, the their are two other safties that are quality second rounders. We are in a perfect situation for a young QB, but I am not sold on Brodie Croyle, he only had a couple good games otherwise he was an average SEC quaterback. Lets hope we can get Hutch or Neal or both and not have to spend on of our first three picks on OL.

Drafting defensively, we aint gonna win any games with our offense now that Daunte left, best bet is to grind it out with D
I have to disagree. The Vikes will win games with Culpepper gone. But I agree that the Vikes should go after defensive players in the draft.
