Re: draft a WR because nate might be leaving?

Drafting a WR in the first round isn't likely, since all signs are now pointing to us trading up to snag one of the top 3 QBs. We have a mid-1st round pick, 2 2nd-rounders, and 2 3rd-rounders. I'll be amazed and even a little disappointed if we don't go after Leinert, Young, or Cutler with some of those picks.

And before anyone jumps on me for mentioning Young as a possibility...with all the negativity I hear about Young being a Vick clone, I don't hear anything about the coach who turned McNabb into one of the best QBs in the League. Personally, I think that if the Eagles had gotten Vick, Childress could have turned him into a much better QB than he is today.

I'm of the opinion that Childress could do great things with an athlete like Young, not to mention the other 2 of the top 3 QBs in this Draft.

I would love to get Vince Young. I just don't know if it will happen though. He is an amazing athlete.

I think the O is pretty much set for this year,a dominating o line, exp. smart,TUFF as leather qb that wont make stupid mistakes, fumbles, and is great at spreading the ball around,we have a stud tight end with some talent at the wideouts, yes chad jackson would be a good draft pick, but I feel T-WILL is goig to get off this year,I think it would be great if we traded up to grab lb A.J HAWK,he would be a perfect viking

Umm, no. WRs suck in this draft and we have bigger needs at QB, LB, RB, S etc.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

It wouldn't bother me too much if we drafted Chad Jackson. He's a VERY talented WR IMO.
but so were Edwards and Williams... what did they do for their teams last year?

I'm not saying we need instant impact, but I would like a QB or defender in round 1.

    That's wack bro..

Edwards was doing good until he got hurt...

And Williams is on a crappy team.. Don't expect much from him
Either way man... WR isn't heavy, it's not worth our 1st rounder. That's my point.

Viking fans hunger a Championship more than anyone in sports.

    Bring it home boyz.
    Bring it home.

Yah I knew your point man..

If there is nothing worth getting at our pick to fill needs.. Get the best available player.. Whether that is Jackson or Maroney or a d-lineman..

I guess I'm the only one who hopes we DON'T get Omar Jacobs...at least not as high as the 2nd round...and especially not when we have the trade material to grab one of the top 3.
