"Our offensive and defensive line will be our greatest emphasis."
DON'T EVER LOSE SIGHT OF THAT QUOTE!Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

Re: Draft Target!!
SS or RT. I also like the guy from texas too, he's gotta lot of experience at RT and he's got tremendous upside. There's alot of good olineman in this years draft, i'm wondering if we pass in first round and get one in the second. Either way i don't mine olineman at all.

Re: Draft Target!!
I definitely like this scenerio over drafting a RB. IF you have a great line, RB are dime a dozen.(imo)

Re: Draft Target!!
If Williams is there I say take him he proved he can run with a poor o-line. If he isnt there I will be fine with us drafting a linemen or a linebacker.

Re: Draft Target!!
i don't want a running back in the first round, i think that would be dumb, we have enough young running backs and i think mewelde moore can be a star in our offense. remember when bennett had a really good year? he had kleinsasser blocking and making holes and our o line was really good, just imagine what moore can do. i'd love to get a offensive line guy like mcneil, and we don't need a tight end in the first round either because we have enough guys who can fill in good enough for a while and wiggins gets it done.
I don t buy Wisconsin cheese.

Re: Draft Target!!
I agree drafting a runningback would be pointless for us. This fella would be Superb!
I like Marcus johnson at guard anyways so this fella at tackle with mckinney, hot damn is all i can think of to say about that.

Re: Draft Target!!
I dont understand why you guys are so sold on moore. He hasnt really been consistent to be an every down back
IMO we should draft lendale white and Max jean-gilles
then pick up lecharles bentley or hutchinson from free agency

Giles - OLIt seems that more and more people are seeing that the Vikes need help up front and are using that in their mocks. Early on I saw a lot of Maroney/Lendale White/Vernon Davis, but now a lot of people are shifting towards tackle. On top of McNeil from Auburn I also heard Winston Justice from USC's name being thrown around.
I'd much rather see us pick an offensive lineman than a skill position player. McNeil would be a good pick, as would Justice, IMO.
Anyway, I think that is because peoples mind sets have changed a bit. I think people are thinking we are going to get a FA RB, or atleast hoping. Plus, there have been a few articles about Childress' comments about the OL and DL being the key in the offseason.

Re: Draft Target!!
moore is loaded with talent thats why, tice hated the guy too and he did quite well with our crappy o-line compared to bennett
