Re: Don't be surprised
The same thing is said every year. Who is the next Ryan Leaf. There are people I know calling Lienart a Leaf. The draft is a crapshoot so you never know. I think (I maybe wrong of course) that people are gonna nibble on the barrel of their gun after they pass on this guy.

Re: Don't be surprised
I think he has a better upside..
Runs better.. Passes better...Taller.. Bigger.. Played in a harder conference.. Showed he can get it done in a big game..
I could go on for days..
I'm pretty sure we won't get Vince.. So I won't be mad when we don't get him.. But if he happened to slip and we take him I would be thrilled

Yes, but it was college. Look at how hyped some college QB's were, just to fizzle in the NFL. Its just too much of a crap shoot to get all excited about a player.
The Wonderlic tells a lot about somebody mental capacity. Society is full of these kinds of tests.

Yah exactly ENL.. You just never know
Vince could be the next Fran for the Vikes.. Or he could be a Spergeon Wynn
Personally.. I think he will be good.. No reason why he can't be.. He has all the tools to be good.. With some good coaching he should be a star

The most important tool (brain) is just not there. And this is not just from the Wonderlic. I read about how Texas had to really simplify their playbook so he could understand the plays. You need a cognitive QB, not some schlepp.Yah exactly ENL.. You just never know

Yah alot of players fail in the NFL from the first round..
Leaf... Couch.. Akili Smith..
But there is also some amazing QB's
Peyton.. McNabb.. Marino..
I think wonderlic is weak...As long as you know how to play football it's all good

What does everyone have against Young?
He wouldn't come in and start this year.. He would have a year or 2 to develop and work on his nacks..
Personally I would be thrilled to have him.. Add another playmaker on the O side of the ball
He can scramble.. He has a huge frame and is tall.. Can throw a nice ball and when he mechanics gets worked on he will be even better..
No kidding. After seeing that video, I have a different view on him. He can scramble, break a tackle, has speed to burn, and has a cannon for a arm. I wouldn't mind seeing him with the Vikes...

Re: Don't be surprised
I just don't see him as a "pocket passer." And the Wonderlick score does scare me. I don't want another CPEP who can't read defenses. I think he'll do great with some team but not the Vikes.

Who cares if he isn't a pocket passer? It isn't his style
Actaully now that I think about.. Don't you need a pocket passer for the WCO?
Im not an NFL or NCAA analyst so i'll just drop this and whatever happens happens.. I will be thrilled if we get him.. If not im sure we know what we need

I have no idea why we are even arguing about him. I highly doubt we will get him.
He is way to risky.
