Cold Pizza Just reported the Chargers are supposedly looking to deal Donnie Edwards away.

Wow, He's a very talented MLB, We need 1 badly...Hope we go after him.

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith confirmed LB Donnie Edwards is available in trade, except for the team's AFC West opponents. Smith would not confirm what might pry Edwards away, but it is a good bet a first-day draft pick would accomplish it. At the very minimum, his being shopped appears to be confirmation Edwards will not be getting the long-term contract he desires in San Diego and will be let go after this season.

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the San Diego Chargers are shopping LB Donnie Edwards. For Edwards, the Chargers want a second-round NFL Draft choice. Edwards is entering the final year on his current contract.

We have 2 second rounders....A match made in heaven...

If we trade a 2nd rounder for him, I would be soooo pissed :evil:

I am sure that Foley is gonna be all over that if Edwards is truly worth it...plus he will have already played with Leber before. Might not be a bad option to consider...although giving up our first rounder might be a little steep. The main consideration is whether or not he would be a better option than an Ernie Sims or one of our other choices.

Trade the later 2nd rounder for him and draft someone other than Sims.

With Edwards we could also send another package of picks, including our 2nd rounder to a team with an early pick in the first, such as the 49ers or Bills and draft Vernon Davis or Winston Justice(RT, USC).

If it's a 2nd rounder I'd do it.

If we're thinking of moving up the draft, it will be for a QB. I doubt we will move up for a TE or OL.

Well he's proven and probably still has enough in the tank to give us a few good years.

And we can still take a LB and a QB in the draft.

He is a very very good LB and would be the best on our team! Depends on what the Chargers want for him, but if it is reasonable I would take him in a heartbeat!

Give up the second rounder.. Good deal!..

Trade 1st rounder the other second rounder and a third to move up in the draft.. pick a QB.. we are set at LB, QB, play Dustin Fox as CB - then we are also set at CB.. Ideal deal!

Then the "worst" part of our team is a guard.. lets try and see if a guy like Lutui drops to third round.. Or else play Herrera or Liwienski.. Johnson at Tackle..
