Don Banks' mock from SI.Com - Version 5.0
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/don_banks/04/09/mock.draft5.part2/index.html
=Z=17
OT Chris Williams Vanderbilt Sr. 6-5 318
The Vikings are in the position to take the highest-rated player remaining on their board, almost regardless of need. Williams is one of the top five offensive linemen in the draft, and either he or one of the remaining first-round cornerbacks (Talib or Jenkins) would seem to make the most sense.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: Don Banks' mock from SI.Com - Version 5.0
I would love to have Williams sittinng there for us to take in rouund 1 I really hope he falls that far.
Harvey will be gone and OT wil be our first round pick, and hopefully that will be Williams or Clady

Re: Don Banks' mock from SI.Com - Version 5.0
Taking Chris Williams seems okay, not sure about the cornerbacks though.
The comment of taking the highest-rated player remaining on the vikings board, is very plausible, as long as it is a OL, DL, WR, or QB...not so sure it makes sense if that position happens to be RB, LB or DB.

He has neither Merling nor a safety picked in the 1st round.

I see Kelly has dropped off a bit after his lackluster workout. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
