Do Vikings still have chance recoup a thirdAt best, perhaps the Vikings could give up the 43rd pick for a late second rounder and a mid third rounder. Based on the NFL trade value chart, the 43rd pick is worth 470 points. That's enough to parlay a two-pick trade for the 64th pick (late 2nd, 270 points) and the 78th pick (mid 3rd, 200 points).
The dilemma lies with the talent still available. Lots of players slipped out of the first round, and the Vikings can still get a game-changer at 43. Still available: UNC defensive tackle Marvin Austin, Oregon State defensive tackle Stephen Paea, Georgia offensive lineman Clint Boling, Texas safety/corner Aaron Williams, UCLA safety Rahim Moore and Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers, who was a potential top pick before knee concerns plagued his draft process.
Austin, Paea, or Moore happen to be there pick.
Unless of course you get a offer to good to refuse i.e mid to late second and a 3rd.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Do Vikings still have chance recoup a third
I say stick where we are. I see this draft's talent depleting quickly. There are still some very good players to be had, but not much after that. I've seen interviews and discussions on the NFLN that also seems to agree with that. They're saying if somebody offers you a comparable or better pick next year for your second, you should jump on that.
Trading down would be a poor choice IMO. Unless of course there's a deal we just can't decline.
