The Star Tribune’s coverage of the NFL Combine is only a few days away � we arrive Wednesday evening and will have multiple blog updates daily starting on Thursday � so we thought it might be a good idea to look at a couple of mock drafts.

Harvey is an intersting prospect in a draft that is deep in DE's. His stock continues to drop along with some of the other guys that were originally slated in the top-to-middle of the pack.

A kid that is really gonna mess up most peoples drafts is Rodgers-Comartie.
As his stock rises guys like (DE's) Harvey, Jackson, Groves, S/CB's Phillips, Jenkins, Smith keep slipping.

I am sure the combine will even have a few other workout wonders show up that will dazzle draftnicks as well (which will equate to nothing on draft day).

i dont think we should take him with our 1st round pick, but if he is there in the 2nd round im sure we take a hard lookat him.

Gil Brandt says Harvey had an unbelieveable workout today at his pro day.
If he is there at 17 the Vikes need to take this guy.

The draft is a crap shoot anyway.

He is a first round talent.

Yes there are lot of Defensive in the draft but from what I have been hhearing nmore and more as that most of them are more of the 2nd 3rd round prospects. With the exception of Long and the Kid From Ohio State(I am blanking on his name). The rest are above avg but may not be worthy of a first round pick. The feeling is that some teams may be so desperate for a DE Vikings, Titans that they may take a chance on a player that could easily be there in round 2 and hope he turns out.

Vikings take Harvey at 17!

Harvey is supposed to be a better prospect than Jarvis Moss and he went in the top 20 last year.
Athletic ends are always going to be taken higher than they maybe should because so many teams need to get guys to rush the passer.
I do think Harvey is the real deal though

if thats true why not take colt brennan or anthony morelli or mike hart at 17
