Re: Did The Draft Help The Vikings?
I wouldn't rely on Clifton to man handle Allen twice this year..The Packers played Kansas City last season, and LT Chad Clifton played very well against Allen, and he wasn't a major factor in the game. Figuring out how to stop RB Adrian Peterson will still be the main concern when both teams face each other twice next season.

Re: Did The Draft Help The Vikings?
Whether Clifton can handle Allen is not the real issue. The issue is that now Kevin Williams will not be double teamed unless both Allen and Edwards are left one-on one and that is going to give any offensive line problems with protection. They should not confuse last years KC defensive line and LB's with what the Vikings will field this season barring injury.

Three nice posts today that I completely agree with.
;D
By the way, I think Clifton will be able to handle Allen.
He did last year. :
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Did The Draft Help The Vikings?
Do you smell that?
I think Rodgers just shit himself again thinking about our defensive line.
I would say yes the draft helped out our team.
Every draft does.

Every draft does.
So IMO drafting TWill HURT, as he was given way too many chances.

Re: Did The Draft Help The Vikings?
I think it did, and by adding Allen instead of a rookie, you add someone who already has establish themselves as the sack master!

NOW IS THE TIME TO BRING HOME THE RING !!!

Re: Did The Draft Help The Vikings?
i definitly think it did
1. We aquired Jared Allen with draft picks. DE worries is over
2. We drafted Sharper's replacement who can get groomed to be a playmaker
3. We drafted a future security blanket at QB with JDB. Who will be groomed by Gus.

Great post. I don't understand why Packers fans keep saying that because they held Allen in check that he will not pose a problem. Lining up next to 2 pro bowlers will make a huge difference. How many pro bowlers did KC have in that D? 1 including reserves. Oh and he is a Viking now.Whether Clifton can handle Allen is not the real issue.
