Dexter Jackson Signs with the Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals on Monday afternoon addressed one of their biggest needs, reaching agreement with unrestricted free agent safety Dexter Jackson on a four-year contract.

Jackson agreed to a four-year, $7.6 million deal, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton, and will be the team's starting free safety.

He was scheduled to meet with the Vikings today. Looks like that didn't happen.

Wow. That came as a surprise to me. I thought we would sign him. Who should we get for safety now? We lost Archuleta, Chavous, and now Jackson. It looks like not re-signing chavous may have been a mistake unless Offord really pans out.

I kinda knew that was gonna happen.... I was trying to stay positive and saying to myself, he knows Tomlin well, and he knows the system well, so maybe he wants to be here in Minnesota.

Well, what are our other options? Possibly Lawyer Milloy, Will Demps is scheduled for a meeting with the Vikes, but who knows if that will even happen. Looks like our best bet at this point is to have Offord as our starting SS. Unless something else happens, I think that will be what happens.

Dammit! We have $h!tloads of cash! Don't give me any of that "well, we don't necessarily need to get all of the BEST players" B.S. I'm fed up with that crap. LOOK AT HOW MUCH CAP ROOM WE HAVE! I used to have no doubts that Wilf would be a better owner than Red, but now he's going to have to really hustle to prove to me that he's not just Red, Jr.

why would he want to play with the bungles for? who is their qb gonna be? palmers knee is destroyed and kitna is visiting other teams

College guy, if questioning a teams QB situation plays a factor, why would anyone sign with the Vikes.
