I really doubt he would have survived this long if he actually only weighed 165
: it wouldn't take much for him to hit the weight room for the summer and put on another 15 pounds of muscle during the summer....

I agree with C Mac D.....I think he will come into the league with a chip on his shoulder and prove many people wrong. The fact that he is training with Jerry Rice sorta helps to.

He'd struggle to put on 15 pounds of muscle in a few months naturally.


A lot of smaller guys really do struggle to put on weight, and he has a really small frame, just look at his hips and calves, he's naturally a really small guy.

I said before that I was bigger than Smith when I was 13, but I looked thin, I was relatively low body fat(lower than I am now), but I have a really large frame naturally, I have wide hips, wide shoulders, and in the 3-4 years after that I grew 5 inches and gained almost 100 pounds.

But for a guy like DeSean Jackson to add 15 pounds of solid muscle in one off-season would be a real struggle. And he'd also have to remember to add it "evenly", not just pack on the muscle on his upperbody so he looks broader and heavier, the very last thing he wants to do is fuck with his balance and effect his speed negatively.

A chip on his shoulder isn't going to help him when he meets someone like ray lewis with a full head of steam.
He's fast, wow, that's amazing.
If his weight and size are true and if he can't bulk up he may have a few nice plays, but he will be destroyed.
I've had dogs that almost weigh that much.

Bobby Wade is 190 pounds.. There is a big difference between 190 and 169. Nobody is knocking Jackson for being short, its because he is too light.

It was ugly around here last year with respect to who should the Vikings take with thier first pick.

Almost (not me) wanted them to go after Ted Ginn Jr.

And when they drafted AD all hell broke loose on the chat page when they didn't take Ted Ginn JR.

It was pretty fun around here about this time last year.
As my mock draft evolved from such ludicrousy as trading up to get a certain WR to AD the mockers got ugly.

To date only one person on here has admitted to wanting him instead of AD (Not to mention Rice over Jarrett or Bowe) but I still remember who they were.
