This is a game/sport and I don't understand why everyone hates this guy. He plays hard every Sunday and has lead the league in yards and 1st down completions in the past 5 years. I guess I'm too new school and a stick hasn't been inserted up my butt just yet.
Did you hear what Deon said about this on NFLN?

Its always about the money....... ;D

Can You blame him? Cincy all Offense and barely any Defense. They should trade him but I don't see him in purple and gold at all if it happends I will be surprised.
In addition, his whole frustration begins with ppl in the organization saying it was his fault they were loosing and placing the blame on him as being a distraction.. and that they'd be better off without him... I'm not sure if he changed agents or whether he always had Drew Rosenhaus.. (I hate that guy by the way), but I don't think it's about money.. he's one of the highest paid players in the league... I just dont think he feels appreciated.. so he's like trade me somewhere where they will appreciate me!..

The thing is... they can't trade him now!.. it sets a baad precedent in the league and throughout the Bengals locker room... They have to prove a point with him.. and if they don't... when will it stop??

Players continually bitching to get their way.. it's ridiculous.. they have to make a point with him or it could be a snowball effect league-wide!!..

Damn straight. In situations like this it is ALWAYS about the money first. If he was the highest paid wideout in the game right now he would have no problems. He is a whiner and is upset that TJ (his fucking teammate since college) went to the Pro Bowl and is starting to get more love than him (not that anyone thinks TJ is a better receiver). Chad was happier losing when he was the whole fucking show.
Now that players like TJ and Carson Palmer have stepped up, he has become a problem because he does not want to share the spotlight ... unless he gets paid that is.

That is the absolute truth. They are going to hold firm here because they don't want to be a snowball effect in their own locker room and across the league. Also, if they happen to win any games without him ... it will be very beneficial for the entire league to see that you can win despite your star players trying to hold you hostage.

I bet he does sit out...He seems like the guy that will stick to his word and will play arena ball if it comes to it like he said. He's spent the last 2+ months saying he wants a new start. He's loaded with money from his contract, does commercials, and other good stuff. I personally think he wants a ring and knows how bad Cincy's DEF is that it wont be happening their...

    Fuck that guy.

A team needs cohesion w/o silly distractions.
He wants to be #1 on a team.
Well, we have the hottest player in the NFL and our team is bulit to run.
So, he could be #2 at best.
Then he would be all pissy if we did not throw his way.

I will take unity over a selfish dickwad stud any day.

They made it quite clear they will not be dealing Chad.
However, I agree with your point.
I think he'd be a great pickup, and his attitude is bettter than Moss' was.
Chad hasn't gotten fined for off-field behaviour (that I'm aware of).
He hasn't bumped a traffic cop with his car, squirted water at a ref, or even gotten arrested (From the Bengals, thats impressive, I know)

I think his celebrations and "me-first" attitude would be a small price to pay IF he could be the missing piece to our offense.
If you think Berrian would open up the offense, imagine what Chad could do.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. Back that truck up! Moss never dissed his QB; and he had plenty of reason to. Moss never punched his coach in the locker room. Moss never had his own teammates publicly stating that they would be better with out him. Well, Cullpepper did say he would be a better QB without Moss. We all know how that worked for him.

My only problem with all of this is the fact that if the Bengals cave and let him go at this stage of his contract, then we will see a huge rush of players every year whinning to get out of thier contract and using the excuse that they just want to win, when all they really want is to be paid.
Seems to me we're seeing enough of that now.

There's a reason why ego players bounce around from team to team.
    Locker room Cancer spreads quickly.
If Cincinnati was smart, they would trade him to a divisional opponent
